Islander reflects the people of Corsica. While the island is under French rule, many of the locals still hold onto their centuries-old culture with the greatest of pride. Poisson which sounds like "pweh-sohn" means "fish" in French. The fish of the sea come in many shapes and sizes. There are many areas that resemble the Bahama islands where the water is terquios and the beach is white but hear is where the similarities end because unlike the Bahama's, these Corsican beaches have moutains for a backdrop. Oh, did I mention it rarely rains during the summer in Corsica? |
