A Passion for Bead Jewelry
From a small village to suburbia

My name is Marie Antoinette Santarelli Gilvey and I grew up in a little village called Bastia which is located on the island of Corsica. One of the biggest questions I get is, "Why did you leave that paradise for a home in Virginia?" I've had many dreams and goals in my life and a few of them were to move to the United States, marry an American man with blue eyes and start my own business—that was just for start. I have realized each of those dreams. I shall return to Corsica one day and maybe bring my bead jewelry business with me. Maybe I will open a little shoppe on the main street in Bastia.
For now, I work away in the back bedroom of my house in Woodbridge, Virginia with my pussycat, Sammy, by my side and my son and husband helping me with craft shows, my website and photography.
All my jewelry is made by a Corsican (me) but does not necessarily use materials from Corsica. I recently started making bead jewelry using sea glass. The sea glass comes from the beaches of Corsica.
CorseCrafts bead jewelry is made with the sensibility of Corsican heritage and its people—after all, I am Corsican. The colors used reflect the natural beauty of the landscape and the Terranian Sea that surrounds the Island. Each piece is handmade with silver wire (accept where noted) using glass beads and semi-precious stones and inspected for strength and durability. I use beads from all over the world to craft this jewelry. If you would like a matching ankle bracelet please let me know, applicable charges will apply.

Items will not be shipped until funds have cleared. Shipping runs about $3-4 depending on the weight. Local residents of Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia can avoid shipping cost by making an appointment to see my beaded jewelry in person. I believe in happy customers. If you find within 30 days of notice of shipment that you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return it in it's original condition for credit or refund (less shipping costs). Credit card payments will be issued a credit to your account. Please call or email me before returning an item. Damaged items will not be accepted.
If your purchase should break, you can return it to me for free repair. Return all the original pieces, all you have to pay is shipping. If you are missing beads, please advise. Some beads may become irreplaceable or unavailable after one year of purchase.
